Enhancing Talents and Gifts

In our Arts Program we strive to build upon and enhance the unique gift and talent of each youth, and culminate into two performances at the end of each school semester.

Here are some of the benefits that our arts program teach:

Empathy – When students portray characters in different roles onstage, they get to experience the feelings of others.

Academic Performance – Students’ academic performance is enhanced in many areas through the participation of theater arts.

• Read and understand complex texts

• Increase use of brain function through memorization

• Boosts feelings of belonging

• Keeps them motivated in school

• Improves their communication skills

Self Esteem – Student’s develop more confidence, they learn and practice teamwork; in addition to building leadership skills.

Building Bridges – The Arts promote positive experiences for all students while improving their attitudes.

Goal Setting – Students are taught goal settings in various ways, whether they are working on improving their dance routine or working on delivery of an emotional monologue.
